President to address joint parliament session amid tight security
A joint session of Pakistan’s Parliament will be held at 10:30 am on Monday at Parliament House, where President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to address lawmakers, the National Assembly spokesperson said.
In light of the current security situation, the National Assembly Secretariat has imposed strict arrangements.
Entry of unauthorised or unrelated persons will be barred, and guests will not be allowed inside Parliament House during the session.
Lawmakers have been asked not to bring guests. Only journalists holding valid 2026 press gallery cards issued by the National Assembly or Senate will be permitted to cover the proceedings.
Each media organisation will be allowed one cameraman, with prior details submitted through the designated channel.
The Secretariat said the measures were taken due to prevailing security concerns.
