Gul Plaza investigation accelerates, SBCA submits records

Karachi Division handed over the original files of Gul Plaza to the office of the Additional Commissioner on Wednesday, in which 3 of the seven files are pending court cases of Gul Plaza. There are cases in 1992, 2015, and 2021 regarding the Gul Plaza building.

Sindh Building Control Authority presented the complete record four days after the tragedy.

The files submitted also include documents of illegal construction.

The records of Gul Plaza contain documents of the revised purpose and the regularisation plan.

A report file regarding the approval of the building has also been submitted.

The original files were submitted to Plot No. 32, Pron Preddy Quarters, District South.

The files include court cases, illegal construction, the report, and the regularization plan.

Case file CP No. 4138/2015. There are 86 pages and notations in it. Court case file CP No. 971/2021 contains 50 pages of details. Case file CP No. 1081/92 contains 16 pages and notations.

The violation file contains 6 pages of correspondence. The revised proposed building plan file contains 57 pages and notes of 6 pages. The report file contains 135 pages and notes of 07 pages. The regularization file contains 41 pages and notes of 07 pages.
