Karachi remained under the grip of cold weather, with the city recording a minimum temperature of 6°C at the Jinnah Terminal on Monday morning, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Other areas of the city also experienced chilly conditions, with minimum temperatures of 9°C at Gulistan-e-Johar and Sharea Faisal, 10°C in Mauripur, and 10.5°C in the Bin Qasim area.

The PMD has forecast that over the next 24 hours, the weather will remain dry with cold nights.

Minimum temperatures are expected to hover between 8°C and 10°C, while daytime highs may reach up to 24°C, with 44% humidity.

Residents have embraced the cold snap, heading to parks and recreational areas to enjoy the crisp winter air.

Many citizens said the cold weather offers a unique opportunity for outdoor strolls and social gatherings with friends.

Some young people were seen enjoying food with families and friends at leading outlets.

The PMD in its forecast said that Karachi is likely to experience dry conditions, accompanied by another cold night.

Citizens are advised to take precautions, particularly during early morning and late-night hours when mercury drops.
