PM Shehbaz Sharif chairs security meeting during Quetta visit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on law and order in Quetta on Thursday, during which Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti briefed him on the security situation and ongoing development projects in the province.

Earlier, he held a one-on-one meeting with Governor Jehangir Khan Mandokhail at the Governor’s House, where the political situation, development initiatives and the latest provincial affairs were discussed.

Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met separately with the chief minister and members of the Balochistan cabinet at the Chief Minister’s House.

Detailed briefings were also given on development projects currently underway in the province.

PM Shehbaz’s meeting with Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail focused on ongoing development initiatives across the province.

The governor briefed the prime minister on the progress of various development projects.

The meeting was also attended by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Aleem Khan, Rana Sanaullah, and prominent political leaders from Balochistan.

During his visit, the prime minister is scheduled to meet Pakistan Muslim League-N leaders and tribal elders. He will also attend a programme at DHA Quetta.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will lay the foundation stone of the National Highway N-25 linking Karachi to Chaman, inaugurate new Danish School campuses, and formally launch several other development projects in the provincial capital.

On arrival, the prime minister was received at the airport by Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and members of parliament.
