Adil Raja placed on Fourth Schedule over anti-state activities
The federal government has placed YouTuber Adil Farooq Raja on the Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act, citing alleged involvement in anti-state activities, officials said on Saturday.
The decision was approved by the federal cabinet, following which the Ministry of Interior issued a formal notification enforcing the ban.
According to the notification, the action was taken over Raja’s alleged role in promoting anti-state narratives through online platforms.
Authorities said his activities posed a serious threat to Pakistan’s security, integrity and public order.
The Interior Ministry said proceedings against Raja were initiated under the Anti-Terrorism Act, and his inclusion in the Fourth Schedule was necessary to safeguard national security and the public interest.
The notification added that further action, if required, would be taken strictly in accordance with relevant laws.
