PM Shehbaz arrives in Qatar on two-day official visit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Qatar on Monday for a two-day official visit, at the invitation of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The prime minister was received at King Hamad International Airport by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar Muhammad Amir, and members of the diplomatic staff.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the prime minister.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz will hold bilateral talks with the Qatari emir. Discussions will focus on boosting cooperation in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure development, and manpower export. Both sides are also expected to explore ways to expand people-to-people contacts.

The visit underscores the close ties between Pakistan and Qatar and reflects a shared commitment to deepening bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
