Significant progress in Imran Khan’s eye treatment, Sources Say
There has been significant progress in the eye examination of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, according to sources.
Shaukat Khanum’s Dr Aasim Yousaf suggested the names of three retina specialists to Salman Akram Raja, including Dr Aamir and Major General (retd) Mazhar Ishaq.
The suggested doctors were unable to obtain permission to attend, according to sources.
Instead, Dr Nadeem Qureshi from Al-Shifa and Dr Arif from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) were sent to carry out the examination.
Imran Khan reportedly received the first injection on January 25, with a second injection scheduled for February 25. Sources said a final decision has yet to be made on whether the second injection will be administered in jail or in a hospital.
