Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie caught in Epstein files fallout
The daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson are drawn into the Epstein scandal, appearing in US Justice Department documents that detail their parents’ connections to the convicted sex offender.
Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, are named multiple times in the latest “Epstein files,” including references to private details about Eugenie’s life. While both hold HRH titles, they are not active working royals.
The documents suggest Ferguson maintained contact with Epstein after his 2009 prison release and that the princesses joined their mother for a meal with him in Miami.
Emails show discussions of business opportunities, family updates, and at times, Eugenie’s private life.
Royal insiders say the sisters are deeply distressed, but there is no suggestion they engaged in wrongdoing.
Both have focused on their own families, careers, and charitable work, keeping a low public profile amid the fallout.
King Charles and Prince William are reportedly supportive, emphasising that the princesses’ reputations should not be tarnished by their parents’ actions.
