Mohsin Naqvi boosts team’s morale ahead of India T20 clash
Ahead of the high-stakes clash against India in the T20 World Cup, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met players and team management on Sunday in Colombo to boost the team’s morale.
The meeting was attended by Captain Salman Ali Agha, head coach Mike Hesson, manager Naveed Akram Cheema, players, coaching staff, and PCB officials.
During the meeting, Naqvi lauded the players’ determination and commitment, motivating the team ahead of the marquee match at R. Premadasa Stadium.
Sources said he wished the national squad success in the high-pressure encounter.
Naqvi arrived in Colombo on Saturday night to witness the much-anticipated Pakistan-India showdown.
On arrival, he was welcomed by Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister Jayanthi Rawankud Yathuvaku and Pakistani High Commissioner Faheem Al Aziz.
Naqvi also held a meeting with the Sri Lankan deputy minister to discuss matters of mutual interest.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 match between Pakistan and India is set to be played at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium on Sunday.
According to the Sri Lankan Meteorology Department, clouds are expected, but there is no chance of heavy rain during the match.
