A preliminary medical report of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan has been submitted to the Punjab government, sources said on Sunday.
The report includes a detailed chart of Imran Khan’s blood pressure, pulse rate, body temperature, and blood sugar levels.
His current eye condition has also been documented and shared in writing.
The report also contains consultancy findings as well as details of the medical staff available at the jail.
The sources said that Imran Khan’s medical examination is being conducted on a daily basis, and all records are being compiled regularly and shared with the relevant authorities.
Government circles said that the future course of action will be decided in light of the medical reports, while recommendations of the medical board will also be taken into consideration.
Meanwhile, the PTI maintained that the health of its founding chairman is a serious matter and that all stages of his treatment should be carried out in a transparent manner.
The sources added that authorities have stressed that providing medical facilities to prisoners in accordance with the law is the responsibility of the state, and the same procedure is being followed in Khan’s case.
