Australian batsman Steve Smith entered the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Tuesday by being signed by Sialkot Stallions directly after seeing a better offer and management, according to sources.

The Australian cricketer recently produced strong performances in the Big Bash League.

Former Australia captain Tim Paine was appointed head coach of Sialkot Stallions. The franchise announced Paine’s appointment on social media.

Sialkot Stallions was purchased by OZ Developers in a bid. The team’s official name has been changed to Sialkot Stallions to revive the city’s old cricketing heritage.

Sialkot Stallions and Hyderabad Kingsman are two new teams introduced in PSL 11.
