Security forces have killed at least 67 terrorists in timely and effective operations across Balochistan after coordinated attacks were carried out at multiple locations, security sources said on Saturday.

According to the sources, militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna Al Hindustan launched attacks at 12 different sites across the province late last night.

All attempts were successfully thwarted through swift and coordinated action by security forces and law enforcement agencies.

Ten personnel of the security forces and police were martyred while defending against the attacks, the sources said. The martyrs included officials from police and other security agencies.

Security officials said the militants also killed five members of a Baloch labourer family in Gwadar, including a woman and three children.

The latest casualties bring the number of militants killed in the ongoing operations to 67, while the total death toll over the past 48 hours has risen to 108.

Earlier, 41 militants were killed in separate operations in Panjgur and other areas during the last two days.

Balochistan Chief Minister’s Special Assistant Shahid Rind said earlier that more than 70 militants had been killed across various parts of the province in recent operations.

He said militant groups attempted to carry out attacks at several locations, but police and Frontier Corps personnel responded swiftly, foiling all such attempts.

Rind added that terrorists tried to strike multiple sites, but timely and coordinated action by law enforcement agencies prevented major damage.

He said security forces are continuing to pursue fleeing militants and further details will be shared as operations progress.

Security officials said operations are ongoing, with reports of further militant casualties and damage during the continued counterterrorism actions.

Naqvi, Bugti vow resolve against terrorism

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said on Saturday that the resolve of the state and the people against terrorism in Balochistan remains unshakable, and that the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs would never go in vain.

The remarks were made during their participation in the funeral prayers of the martyrs in Quetta and during meetings with security personnel and families of the martyred at the police lines.

CM Bugti said the brave personnel had confronted terrorists with courage and determination, adding that the state has always stood with the oppressed.

He said the people of Balochistan were indebted to the blood of the martyrs and assured the bereaved families that every drop of blood would be avenged. He urged the families to remain steadfast and patient.

Naqvi praised the bravery of the security forces and the public, saying personnel had carried out effective and decisive action against terrorists. He termed the sacrifices of the martyrs unforgettable and said the entire nation saluted them.

Both leaders said state institutions and security forces remain fully alert and active to ensure peace and order in Balochistan, vowing that terrorist elements would not be spared under any circumstances.
