Veteran PTV actor Khalid Hafeez passes away

Senior Pakistani television actor Khalid Hafeez Khan passed away early Monday at 1:30 a.m. in Islamabad.

He was widely recognised for his role as Mr Shamim in the PTV comedy series Guest House, a programme still fondly remembered by audiences for its humour and timeless appeal.

Hafeez also appeared in other television projects, including Silsilay and telefilms such as Nishan-e-Haider: Captain Mohammad Sarwar Shaheed.

Based in Islamabad, he frequently shared insights about his work in interviews alongside co-actor Afzal Khan, who played a key role in Guest House.

His funeral prayers were offered after Asr at the H-11 cemetery in Islamabad, according to family sources.

The news of his passing was shared by Afzal Khan on Instagram, as well as by co-actors Bushra Ansari and Nauman Masood, prompting an outpouring of grief from the television community and fans nationwide.

Colleagues and admirers remembered Hafeez for his comedic timing, dedication to the craft, and the enduring charm of his performances, which continue to entertain generations of viewers.
