Gold price drops after two-day surge

Gold prices continued to decline in Pakistan’s local bullion markets, while silver remained stable, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), which reported a fall of Rs1,200 per tola on Wednesday.

According to the fresh rates issued by APSGJA, the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,200 to reach Rs466,762 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs1,028, bringing it down to Rs401,73.

The association further reported that the rate of 22-karat gold for 10 grams also decreased by Rs942, settling at Rs365,896.

Meanwhile, the international market also witnessed a slight decrease in gold prices, with the per-ounce rate dropping by $12 to trade at $4,444, while international silver prices remained steady at $78.86.
