A Lahore sessions court on Tuesday extended the interim bail of Aroob Jatoi, wife of social media influencer Ducky Bhai, in a case related to the illegal promotion of gambling applications.

The court also approved Jatoi’s request for a one-day exemption from personal appearance and extended her interim bail until January 19.

The matter was heard by Additional District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Qureshi.

During the proceedings, Jatoi’s counsel, Usman Latif, informed the court that his client was unwell and therefore unable to appear before the court.

The case has been registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) against the accused for allegedly promoting gambling applications in violation of the law.

Further hearing in the case has been adjourned to January 19, when the court is expected to review the progress of the investigation and the bail matter.
