Sunny Deol urges media to respect Dharmendra’s privacy
Actor Sunny Deol requested that the media gathered outside his father, Dharmendra’s, residence respect the family’s privacy and disperse.
Speaking with folded hands, Sunny said, “You too have parents at home. You have children. Have some shame.”
He visited his father after Dharmendra was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital, where he had been admitted following a health concern.
Dr Pratit Samdani confirmed that Dharmendra left the hospital at 7:30am on Wednesday and is now under home care.
“His family is taking care of him. Pray that his treatment, management, and recovery continue,” he said.
Sunny Deol’s team also issued a statement urging the public and media to avoid speculation and respect the family’s privacy.
The actor had been rushed to the hospital on Monday, prompting visits from family, friends, and Bollywood colleagues.
Earlier, Dharmendra’s wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, condemned false reports of his death.
Malini wrote on X, “How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is extremely disrespectful and irresponsible.”
