The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government will hold a peace jirga in the provincial assembly on Wednesday to review the province’s security and law and order situation.

According to officials, security arrangements for the jirga have been finalised.

Seating arrangements have been made for 400 participants, while special entry passes have been issued to the attendees.

Participation of all political parties has been confirmed, and former chief ministers are also expected to attend.

The jirga’s declaration will be shared with the federal government and all security institutions. It has also been decided to present the declaration before the Apex Committee.

Entry of unrelated persons to the assembly premises will remain prohibited. Forty speakers are expected to address the gathering.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a parliamentary delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at the Governor House, Peshawar.
