Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar said on Tuesday that all those involved in the Islamabad blast will be arrested and prosecuted under the law, and vowed that the state will not rest until terrorism is eliminated.

Speaking to the media, Tarar said security agencies were conducting thorough investigations into recent terrorist incidents and that the state was determined to hold perpetrators to account.

Referring to the Wana attack, he called it a conspiracy and the result of a nexus between India and Afghanistan.

“These links have taken the form of a proxy war,” he said, adding that those who sought to undermine Pakistan’s peace and stability would be made answerable.

Tarar said India and Afghanistan were upset over Pakistan’s progress and added that a robust national and diplomatic response would be chalked out against their conspiracy.

He said Pakistan was effectively presenting its narrative internationally and that friendly countries were standing with Islamabad.

“The world is accepting our narrative; partner countries are alongside us, and international cooperation will strengthen actions against terrorism,” he added.

Tarar warned that Pakistan would not sit idle until terrorism was eradicated, and said those involved in the proxy war would be forced to pay.

The information minister urged the nation to remain courageous and united, saying the Pakistani people would not be cowed by acts of terrorism.

He reassured citizens that state institutions would confront every challenge firmly and make the protection of the public their top priority.
