Participation in Shanghai Expo aims to boost trade, investment, and economic ties between Pakistan and China

As the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025 prepares to open tomorrow, Pakistan is set to showcase its vibrant industrial and cultural landscape through the participation of 20 companies under the Pakistan Pavilion.

This exhibition promises to highlight the nation’s rich heritage and modern innovation, further strengthening the growing trade relationship between Pakistan and China.

The diverse range of products on display includes premium textiles, finely crafted marble and onyx, intricate brass items, traditional handicrafts, exquisite jewellery, and beautifully woven carpets and rugs.

Additionally, the pavilion will feature elegantly crafted furniture, reflecting the best of Pakistan’s artisanal skills and industrial capabilities.

Muhammad Atif, Deputy Consul General of Pakistan, emphasised the significance of this participation in boosting bilateral trade.

“CIIE provides a unique opportunity for Pakistan to present its craftsmanship and innovations to the global market,” he said.

“This event is an important step towards expanding trade, investment, and economic ties between Pakistan and China.”

He further said that with its diverse offerings, the Pakistan Pavilion at CIIE 2025 not only highlights the country’s industrial capabilities but also opens new avenues for cooperation, fostering deeper economic ties between the two nations.

The 8th CIIE will kick off in Shanghai on Wednesday and last for six days.
