Animated hit KPop Demon is on track to reach 400 million views on Netflix by the end of the year, after premiering in August.

As reported by What’s On Netflix, the fantasy film has already crossed 400 million views.

Even with a weekly drop of around 10% in viewership, it is still projected to hit the half-billion milestone before year-end.

The movie remains in the top three titles on Netflix’s global list every week.

Fans have complimented the film’s vivid animation, powerful soundtrack, and innovative storyline that combines music and mythology in a visually striking way.

The film has also gained traction in Asia, particularly in Pakistan, where local KPop fan communities have helped to boost its popularity on social media sites.

Meanwhile, another Netflix release, A House of Dynamite, has sparked debate after the US Pentagon criticised its depiction of America’s response to a nuclear threat, calling it unrealistic.

Director Kathryn Bigelow defended the film in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “In a perfect world, culture should influence policy. If this movie contributes to conversations about nuclear weapons, that’s a positive thing for me.”

A House of Dynamite is currently streaming on Netflix.
