No enemy can harm Pak-China friendship, says Naqvi

Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong called on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday and strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks targeting civilians and security forces in Balochistan.

On the occasion, the Chinese ambassador also extended heartfelt condolences to the people affected by terror attacks.

He expressed China’s full solidarity with the affected families, stating, “In this hour of grief, China stands completely with the victims.”

The ambassador also reiterated China’s condemnation of all forms of terrorism and affirmed its unwavering support for Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.

Interior Minister Naqvi briefed the ambassador on the coordinated nature of the attacks, noting that security forces had responded promptly and effectively to the incidents.

He highlighted the importance Pakistan places on the protection of Chinese nationals, saying, the safety of Chinese citizens and projects is extremely important to us.

“No enemy can harm the friendship between Pakistan and China,” he added.

The minister also announced the formation of a special protection unit for the security of Chinese nationals, stating that providing maximum protection to Chinese citizens remains a top priority of the government.

The meeting also discussed measures to strengthen the strategic partnership, focusing on closer cooperation in intelligence sharing, counter-terrorism, and combating cybercrime.

Naqvi informed the ambassador about the spirit of collaboration and mutual understanding he experienced during his recent visit to China.

Ambassador Jiang warmly appreciated Pakistan’s steps to ensure the safety and security of Chinese citizens in the country.
