PM Shehbaz, Saudi Crown Prince agree to deepen trade and investment ties
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday met Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, where the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival at the Al-Yamamah Palace, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman accorded a warm welcome to PM Shehbaz and his delegation.
According to official sources, the two sides held in-depth discussions on mutual interests, including trade, investment, and business collaboration, and reaffirmed their commitment to further enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.
The meeting also covered regional and international developments, with both leaders agreeing to continue close coordination on issues of shared concern.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, also attended the meeting.
PM arrives in Riyadh to attend 9th FII
PM Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Riyadh to attend the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference on the special invitation of Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
At King Khalid International Airport, the prime minister was warmly received by Riyadh’s Deputy Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq.
The prime minister was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistants Tariq Fatemi and Bilal bin Saqib.
He will also meet world leaders and heads of international organisations attending the event.
