A no-confidence motion against Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has been prepared, with the required number of lawmakers already signing the document.

According to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) sources, the motion could be submitted at any time.

The no-confidence motion, drafted by the PPP, carries the signatures of several members of the AJK Legislative Assembly who recently joined the PPP.

PPP secures majority

It is worth noting that the PPP had claimed a day earlier that it had secured the support of the required number of members needed to form a new government in Azad Kashmir.

The party also secured the support of four more independent lawmakers, bringing its total strength in the assembly to 27, paving the way for a possible change in government in the region.
