An anti-terrorism court on Monday extended the physical remand of PTI activist Falak Javed for another five days in the case related to the attack on Islamabad Police at Zaman Park.

Falak Javed was produced before the court after completing her 14-day physical remand. Police sought a 30-day extension to continue the investigation.

During the hearing, Advocate Mian Ali Ashfaq, representing Falak Javed, argued that his client had been arrested on political grounds based on a supplementary statement and requested the court to discharge her from the case.

The court, however, accepted the police’s plea, finding their stance justified, and granted a five-day physical remand, directing that the accused be produced again on November 1.
