Petrol price slashed by Rs5.66 per litre for next fortnight
The federal government on Wednesday announced a reduction in petroleum product prices across the country for the next 15 days.
The decision followed approval of the price reduction by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Petrol prices have been cut by Rs5.66 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs263.02 per litre.
Similarly, diesel prices have decreased by Rs1.39 per litre, with the revised price set at Rs275.42 per litre.
Light Diesel Oil (LDO) price has been reduced by Rs2.74 per litre, now priced at Rs162.76 per litre.
Kerosene oil prices have also been cut by Rs3.26 per litre, making its new price Rs181.71 per litre.
The price adjustments come as part of the government’s regular review of petroleum product rates.
“The government has adjusted the prices of petroleum products for the fortnight starting tomorrow (October 16, 2025), based on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and the relevant ministries,” read a notification issued by the Finance Division.
