A delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) under the leadership of the party’s provincial president Junaid Akbar met with Federal Minister Amir Muqam to discuss matters related to the upcoming election for the provincial chief minister.

The PTI delegation included parliamentary members from both the provincial and national assemblies, said a press release on Sunday.

The members urged Amir Muqam to extend his support in electing the new CM unopposed.

Speaking on the occasion, Junaid Akbar said the delegation had come with the hope of making joint decisions as in the past, adding that all political forces must work together to overcome current challenges.

He emphasised that PTI holds a clear majority in the provincial assembly and that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cannot afford further political instability or administrative crises under the prevailing circumstances.

The PTI delegation included MNAs Sher Ali Arbab, Ali Khan Jadoon, and Dr Amjad, as well as former provincial ministers Shaukat Yousafzai, Mushtaq Ghani, and Riaz Khan.

Other members of the delegation were Kabir Khan, Idrees Khattak, Laiq Khan, Irfan Saleem, and Ikram Khattana.
