IHC dismisses Imran Khan’s petition against judge Humayun Dilawar
The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday dismissed the petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan against Judge Humayun Dilawar Khan on non-prosecution.
IHC’s Justice Azam Khan heard the case and ruled that since the petitioner did not pursue the case further, the petition is hereby dismissed.
It is worth noting that the PTI founder had filed the petition in 2023, claiming that trial court Judge Humayun Dilawar had allegedly posted biased content against him on Facebook, and therefore, his verdict should be reviewed.
Judge Humayun Dilawar had sentenced the PTI founder in the Toshakhana criminal case based on a reference from the Election Commission.
The petition further stated that due to the judge’s biased conduct, he should be recused from hearing the Toshakhana criminal case.
