PM Shehbaz silences Indian journalist at UN encounter
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left an Indian journalist speechless after a pointed exchange in the lobby of the United Nations headquarters.
In response to a question from the Indian journalist, the prime minister gave a firm reply, stating: “We are defeating cross-border terrorism sponsored by India.”
A video of the exchange has surfaced on social media and is circulating widely.
Later, addressing the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan seeks peace, but not at the cost of dignity.
“The enemy came shrouded in arrogance and returned in humiliation,” he declared.
The prime minister added that while Pakistan has already won the war, it now desires to win the peace.
He emphasised that Pakistan is ready for comprehensive and result-oriented dialogue with India on all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir.
