Seven killed as roof of private academy collapses in Hafizabad
At least seven people, including five children, a woman and a man, were killed when the roof of a private academy collapsed in Sukheke area of Pindi Bhattian tehsil on Saturday.
Rescue officials said the children were attending class when the roof suddenly caved in, burying them under the debris.
The deceased children included two brothers, Abdul Rehman and Umar, along with Roham, Rehan and Sabiha Fatima.
A woman, identified as Sarwar Bibi, and a man, Imran, also lost their lives in the incident.
Another child, Burhan, was injured and is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
The victims were between five and ten years old.
After the rescue operation concluded, Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad visited the site and ordered an inquiry into the tragedy.
