Floodwaters from Punjab on Saturday entered Sindh, pushing up the water levels of the Indus River and triggering fears of possible flooding across the province.

The Sindh government has intensified emergency measures to safeguard lives and property.

According to the provincial irrigation department, inflows and outflows at rivers and barrages continue to fluctuate.

At Panjnad Barrage, water inflow and outflow exceeded 300,000 cusecs, creating a critical situation downstream at Guddu, Sukkur, and Kotri barrages.
