Court extends YouTuber Ducky Bhai’s remand in gambling app case
A local court in Lahore on Wednesday extended the physical remand of YouTuber Saad-ur-Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, for two more days in a case linked to the alleged promotion of online gambling applications.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo granted the extension after the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) produced the YouTuber before the court on completion of his earlier remand.
The investigating officer informed the court that funds had been transferred abroad from the suspect’s account, and further questioning was required to probe suspected money laundering. The court accepted the request and directed that Ducky Bhai be presented again on September 5.
Arrest and charges
NCCIA had registered a case against Ducky Bhai, accusing him of promoting gambling apps through his social media platforms.
Officials allege he advertised betting applications in multiple videos and profited from the activity.
He was taken into custody earlier this week at Lahore Airport, where authorities claim he was attempting to leave the country.
His name had already been placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) in connection with ongoing investigations.
Previous legal troubles
This is not the first time the YouTuber has faced legal action.
Earlier this year, the Motorway Police booked him in Rawalpindi for performing dangerous stunts, including driving at high speed with his foot on the steering wheel. He was later granted bail.
In 2024, Ducky Bhai and his wife, Aroob Jatoi, were detained in Lahore’s Model Town after displaying firearms on social media.
Authorities say the YouTuber remains under investigation in multiple cases, with further legal proceedings expected in the coming weeks.
