The Met Office has announced that widespread rain is expected to continue across the country today and tomorrow, cautioning of heavy downpours, thunderstorms, and the possibility of landslides in several areas.

According to the forecast, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, and Gujranwala are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunder, while the Potohar region could see particularly intense showers.

Various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are also expected to experience rainfall, with authorities warning that heavy precipitation may flood low-lying areas. In Balochistan, rain is anticipated in Barkhan, Zhob, Musa Khel, and Sibi.

The Met Office further stated that northern districts of Sindh, including Sukkur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, and Larkana, are also forecast to receive rain, which may improve weather conditions but requires residents to remain cautious.

Given the threat of landslides in hilly areas, local administrations and tourists have been urged to exercise vigilance and avoid unnecessary travel.
