Opposition leader criticises CM Gandapur over Lahore visit
Leader of Opposition in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Dr Ibadullah has sharply criticised Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for his recent visit to Lahore and his continued political activities.
He highlighted that the province is currently in turmoil, facing issues of terrorism and public uncertainty, while the chief minister is conducting a political event in Lahore, ostensibly to show solidarity with Punjab MPAs.
Dr Ibadullah emphasised that the lives and property of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s citizens seem to hold no value, particularly when the public is struggling with various challenges.
He described the chief minister’s lavish journey to Lahore as a mockery of the people’s sentiments.
The opposition leader pointed out that millions of rupees from the public treasury are being allocated for a political announcement, which he deemed unjust.
He raised concerns about the legality and justification of dispatching a convoy comprising thousands of vehicles.
Dr Ibadullah accused the Chief Minister of favoring political spectacle over genuine public service, suggesting that the current government is disconnected from the hardships experienced by the populace.
He called for immediate and practical measures to address the unrest, inflation, and uncertainty affecting the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, urging the government to realign its priorities.
