The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a traffic diversion plan due to ongoing construction work by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

The road from Serena Interchange underpass (Jinnah Square) to Korianwala Chowk will remain closed from 9:00pm on July 7, 2025, until 8:00am the following morning.

An ITP spokesperson informed APP that commuters traveling to and from Bhara Kahu are advised to use the alternate route via Kashmir Chowk and Club Road during the closure.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider stated that traffic police officials will be deployed at various points to assist and guide motorists throughout the night.

He urged commuters to allow for an additional 20 minutes in their travel time to avoid delays and inconvenience.

For assistance or traffic-related information, citizens can contact the ITP helpline at 1915. CTO Zeeshan added that ITP’s social media platforms and FM Radio 92.4 will continue to provide real-time updates on traffic conditions and route diversions.

He also called on the public to follow the issued traffic guidelines and cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure smooth flow of vehicles during the construction period.
