Pakistan, China agree to deepen linkages between political parties

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday met with the Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), Liu Jianchao.

During the meeting, both leaders agreed to strengthen connections between the political parties of Pakistan and the CPC.

The deputy prime minister expressed appreciation for China’s steadfast support of Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and core interests.

Jianchao reaffirmed that, as an All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partner and steadfast friend, China will continue to prioritize its relationship with Pakistan.

“During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister [Dar] will hold in-depth discussions with Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the evolving regional situation in South Asia and its implications for peace and stability,” Foreign Office Spokesperson, on Sunday, said in a press release.

Moreover, last month, the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, stated that relations between Pakistan and China are advancing rapidly in a positive direction.
