How to apply for Punjab laptop scheme
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday revived the provincial government’s student laptop scheme after an eight-year pause.
She announced the distribution of high-performance 13th-generation Core i7 laptops to top-performing students nationwide, Express News reported.
The relaunch event took place at the historic University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Lahore, where the chief minister personally handed out laptops to students and interacted with them directly, foregoing a formal speech from the stage.
As part of the first phase of the initiative, 14,000 students in the Lahore Division will receive laptops.
The distribution will span 13 public universities, six medical colleges, and 27 higher education institutions across the region.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicant must have a domicile in any district of Punjab.
- Applicant must be enrolled in: (1st or 2nd semester of BS in any Public University / College
Public Medical & Dental College / University (1st professional - academic session 2024)
- For Public Sector Universities / Colleges (Minimum of 65% Marks in Intermediate)
- For Public Sector Medical & Dental Colleges / University (Minimum of 80% Marks in Intermediate)
- Student must not be a recipient of any laptop scheme
