**Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif will deliver a key briefing today(Sunday) on the national security situation, in the presence of senior leaders from all major political parties. The session will focus on Pakistan’s defence preparedness and ongoing diplomatic efforts.

The briefing, being held amid heightened regional tensions, is seen as a critical moment of civil-military coordination. Participants will be updated on the state’s response mechanisms and unified stance regarding recent developments.

Separately, the President has convened an important session of the National Assembly at 5 PM on Monday. The current Pakistan-India standoff will be a key point of discussion, with a resolution expected to be tabled condemning India’s attempts to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty.

These high-level meetings are being viewed as pivotal for safeguarding national integrity, regional stability, and Pakistan’s core security interests.

Earlier in the week, amid rising tensions and Indian provocations at the Line of Control, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, and DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif jointly addressed a press conference to brief the nation on the evolving situation.

DG ISPR dismantled India’s false claims and confirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend national sovereignty. He also exposed the false flag nature of the Pahalgam incident, pointing to rapid Indian accusations and retaliatory measures as suspicious indicators.

Deputy PM Ishaq Dar stressed that India is the source of regional instability and warned that the entire region faces danger due to New Delhi’s irresponsible actions. He reaffirmed that Pakistan condemns terrorism in all forms and rejects its use for political objectives.

Dar further noted that Pakistan has borne heavy costs in the fight against terrorism, both economically and in human lives. He accused India of celebrating bloodshed and attempting to deflect from its internal security failures and ongoing atrocities in Kashmir by pointing fingers at others.
