PCB reschedules two PSL X matches
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday rescheduled two HBL PSL X matches given the impending heatwave in different parts of the country.
The afternoon game on 1 May between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings originally scheduled at the Multan Cricket Stadium, will now take place at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, with the first ball to be bowled at 3pm.
Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will now host a doubleheader on May 1, coinciding with Labour Day, a public holiday.
The evening match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators is still set to start at 8pm.
Additionally, the final match in Multan, originally scheduled for May 10 between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, has been rescheduled to May 11 in the evening, also starting at 8pm at Multan Cricket Stadium.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made this decision after extensive discussions with stakeholders, considering operational ease and recent heat waves in various regions.
They mentioned that tickets purchased online for the May 1 match, which was initially set in Multan, will be automatically refunded to the accounts used for the purchases.
For tickets bought at express centers, fans will need to obtain refunds in person at TCS outlets. The PCB expressed regret for any inconvenience this may cause.
Spectators can now attend the double header in Lahore using the same tickets they bought for the evening match. Fans who purchased tickets for the May 10 game can use them for the rescheduled match on May 11.
