As the Islamic holy month of Ramadan approaches, Saudi meteorologists predict mild weather conditions across the kingdom.

A weather analyst at the Saudi National Centre for Meteorology, Aqil Al Aqil, noted that this year’s Ramadan will coincide with the onset of spring, bringing cooler temperatures, especially in the northern regions, while the rest of the country can expect moderate conditions.

Ramadan, which begins on March 1 this year, is a time when Muslims fast from dawn until sunset, breaking their fast with Iftar meals, often starting with dates.

Many Saudis participate in charitable acts by preparing Iftar meals or hosting large gatherings during this month.

The month also sees a significant increase in Umrah pilgrimages to the Grand Mosque in Mecca, as worshippers from around the world flock to the sacred site for prayers and religious observances.

Many pilgrims visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina and other important Islamic landmarks during this time.
