Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three people accused of visa fraud during operations in the cities of Lahore and Okara, the FIA spokesperson said.
The arrested suspects were identified as Liaquat Ali, Naeem and Muhammad Amanullah.
According to the FIA, Liaquat Ali allegedly extorted 14.9 million rupees from a citizen for a New Zealand work visa, while Naeem is accused of taking 2.5 million rupees by falsely promising a Canadian work visa.
The third suspect, Muhammad Amanullah, allegedly defrauded a citizen of 300,000 rupees in the name of securing a Saudi work visa.
The suspects have been taken into custody, and an investigation has been launched, the FIA spokesperson said.
