A vehicle in Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s security convoy was reportedly involved in an accident on Monday night in Juhu, Mumbai.

Police said the incident occurred between 8:30 and 9:00pm near Makati Shower Road, Juhu.

Reports indicate that a speeding Mercedes car collided with an auto rickshaw, which then crashed into a car that was part of Akshay Kumar’s convoy.

Videos of the crash quickly went viral on social media, showing the rickshaw badly damaged and a car overturned.

Locals and bystanders assisted the injured while police and fire brigade personnel helped upright the vehicle.

The auto rickshaw driver was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition, according to ANI.

The driver’s brother told the media that the rickshaw was destroyed and requested proper medical care, necessary medicines, and compensation for the vehicle.

Juhu police have registered a case against the Mercedes driver for speeding and negligent driving, and investigations are ongoing.

Police confirmed that neither Akshay Kumar nor any family member was in the convoy car at the time; only security staff were present.

The convoy was reportedly escorting Akshay Kumar’s wife, Twinkle Khanna, home from the airport after her return from abroad.

Neither Akshay Kumar nor Twinkle Khanna has stated the incident.

Akshay Kumar, like many Bollywood stars, employs personal security, and reports suggest heightened safety measures were in place due to specific security concerns.

He was also seen under security during the recent municipal elections in Mumbai.
