Aleema Khan says PTI leaders who call for talks are not ally of founder

Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has stated that any party leader advocating negotiations with the government is neither aligned with the PTI founder nor a close associate of Imran Khan.

Speaking to the media outside an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, Aleema Khan said that Imran Khan had already conveyed the message of street movement to the party leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

She added that she was unaware of the declaration issued after the two-day conference of opposition parties.

Addressing the Toshakhana case, Aleema Khan called it baseless, describing the legal proceedings against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi as bogus.

She highlighted that Imran Khan had, as recently as two days ago, expressed his readiness to make any sacrifice for the nation, including martyrdom, if required.

Aleema Khan noted that 11 books had been sent to Imran Khan, and according to the presiding judge, he had received nine of them.

Aleema’s remarks came a day after Imran Khan’s latest statement on his social media platform X, effectively negating Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s appeal for negotiations.

PTI’s information secretary has also clarified that instructions regarding the ongoing protest movement would be final as per Imran Khan’s directives and must be followed by party members.
