A meeting of the federal cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, will be held today (Thursday) at the Prime Minister’s House at 4pm.
According to sources, the meeting will discuss the country’s political and economic situation, while the Punjab cabinet’s recent recommendation seeking a ban on the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) is also expected to come under consideration.
The cabinet will also review the situation following the recent ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The defence minister is expected to brief the meeting on the agreement.
In addition, the meeting will endorse the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) and the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Cases.
