KP CM Gandapur blasts Mohsin Naqvi over Asia Cup defeats

Following Pakistan’s defeats to India in the ongoing Asia Cup, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Tuesday strongly criticised PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, accusing him of mismanagement and failure.

“Mohsin Naqvi has destroyed every department and institution he has touched,” Gandapur said, adding that, “A Pakistan-India match is no less than a war, and if the chairman focused on the team, we would certainly win.”

“A match against India is never an ordinary one. It is heartbreaking that we keep losing again and again.”

Blaming PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi for the decline in Pakistan cricket, Gandapur said, “Mohsin Naqvi has already destroyed many institutions, and now he’s destroying cricket too.”

Speaking about the cases against him, Gandapur said, “After the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the courts have been ybder pressure. Cases based on fake FIRs and baseless charges are ongoing. We are fighting for the rule of law in the country.”

He vowed to hold a large public rally soon. “We will show that the entire nation stands with the PTI founder. Institutions should work within constitutional limits,” he added.

Touching on relations with Afghanistan, the KP chief minister said the PTI founder’s policy has always been that dialogue is the only solution.

“Our province has made more than 80,000 sacrifices. A positive message has come from Afghanistan, but the federal government’s attitude is regrettable,” he added.

“Military operations have not worked in the past. We advocated for dialogue. The federal government asked us to provide names for the delegation to Afghanistan, and we will share those names,” Gandapur added.

Condemning the recent loss of lives in Tirah Valley, Gandapur said: “There must be no collateral damage during operations against terrorists.”
