The Balochistan Government has announced the establishment of ‘Bank of Balochistan’ to provide quality banking services in the province.
A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti in Quetta.
During the meeting, an initial feasibility report for the ‘Bank of Balochistan’ was presented. The meeting declared the project viable.
Addressing the meeting, Bugti directed the relevant authorities to prepare an operational plan within a week.
He stated that the establishment of the Bank of Balochistan would provide quality banking services to the public, traders, and investors.
“The people of Balochistan will hear good news soon,” he said, adding that the bank would boost economic activity in the province and create employment opportunities for the youth.
The chief minister described it as a historic milestone for the province’s economy.
The bank will utilise provincial resources to accelerate the pace of development projects.
The meeting was attended by provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Balochistan Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, and other officials.
Banking sector experts participated in the meeting online. The meeting agreed to expedite the launch of the Bank of Balochistan project.
