Assistant Commissioner of Balochistan’s Ziarat district, Afzal Baqi, has been abducted along with his son from the tourist destination of Zezri on Sunday.

The unidentified armed men stopped his car, abducted him, his son, the gunmen and driver and set the vehicle on fire.

Levies sources said the abductors took Afzal Baqi with them, while releasing his guards and driver unharmed some distance away.

Following the incident, security forces and local administration launched a search operation in the area.
