Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to arrive in Pakistan on August 2 for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, cooperation and trade.
President Pezeshkian to arrive in Lahore first to pay respects at the mausoleum of national poet Allama Iqbal.
He will travel to Islamabad on the same day to hold a series of high-level meetings with Pakistan’s leadership.
On August 3, the Iranian president is set to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for bilateral talks.
The agenda will include discussions on enhancing trade, improving border management, boosting energy cooperation, and addressing regional security issues.
President Pezeshkian is also scheduled to hold a one-on-one meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari during his stay in the federal capital.
Additionally, he will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani, and National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to deepen political and parliamentary engagement between the two countries.
According to the visit schedule, President Pezeshkian will depart for Tehran in the evening on August 3 after concluding his official engagements in Pakistan.
