Jhelum: 300 people, including police team, trapped in floods

At least 300 people, including a six-member police team, were left stranded in the floodwaters in Jhelum on Thursday.

The police officials, including the SHO of Chautala police station, sat in a tractor trolley to save their lives and remained trapped for several hours due to the fast flow of water. However, one Constable was swept away in the water.

The intensity of the floodwaters was such that rescue teams faced severe difficulties in extracting the police personnel.
