Dar joins SCO FMs joint call on Chinese President Xi Jinping

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday represented Pakistan at the joint call of the foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states on Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.

Welcoming the delegation heads, President Xi emphasised the importance of regional cooperation within the framework of the SCO — an influential organisation that spans the vast Eurasian landmass and represents a significant portion of the world’s population.

Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the SCO Foreign Ministers’ meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Dar held a productive bilateral meeting with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kulubaev Zheenbek Moldokanovic at the Great Hall in Tianjin.

Both leaders reiterated their commitment to the longstanding relationship between the two countries and expressed their dedication to enhancing cooperation across various areas of mutual interest.

Additionally, Dar met his Kazakh counterpart, Murat Nurtleu. The two leaders reaffirmed their mutual resolve to further strengthen Pak-Kazakh ties and discussed expanding cooperation in regional and multilateral forums.
