Founder’s sons not coming to contest elections but to meet their father: Gandapur

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Saturday sharply criticised the federal government and accused it of resorting to “desperate tactics” amid growing political pressure.

Talking to media in Sarai Alamgir while leading a PTI convoy to Lahore, Gandapur clarified that the sons of PTI’s founder are not contesting elections but are visiting Pakistan solely to meet their father.

“No citizen can be deprived of their constitutional rights — whether political or personal,” Gandapur asserted.

He alleged that the government is in a state of panic, using arrests and intimidation tactics against PTI workers.

However, he emphasized that such pressure would not derail the party’s peaceful public campaign.

“Despite the repression and arrests, PTI will continue its peaceful political activities,” he said.

“With public support, we will firmly respond to every unconstitutional move.”

Issuing a stern warning, Gandapur cautioned the government against pushing political forces to the wall, stating that such actions could have repercussions not just for the political system but for state institutions as well.

“Without supremacy of the Constitution and rule of law, political stability in the country is impossible,” he added.

According to sources, CM Gandapur is expected to arrive in Lahore by this evening. He is scheduled to hold meetings with Punjab Opposition Leader Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar, senior PTI leaders, and members of the Punjab Assembly to finalize the next phase of the party’s strategy.
